Test and Tag is the process of electrically testing and visually inspecting appliances to ensure they are safe to use. Each item is then fitted with a tag showing it has been tested, when it was done, and when it’s next due. It’s a key requirement under AS/NZS 3760:2022 to keep workplaces safe and compliant.

Regular testing reduces the risk of shocks, fires, and equipment failures, giving you peace of mind that your workplace is safe.

How often should test & tag be done?

 

  • Construction, mining & demolition: every 3 months

  • Factories, workshops & warehouses: every 6 months

  • Offices & low‑risk environments: every 12 months

  • Hostile environments (e.g., kitchens, outdoors): every 12 months or as needed
